Ground here, not bought
Masalas are ground in our kitchen and coconut is grated fresh. It costs us time every morning and it is the difference you taste.
About us
A Kerala kitchen run by Ruchiram, now feeding north Bengaluru from Bagaluru Main Road.
Our story
Ruchiram started as a small Kerala kitchen with a short menu and a lot of regulars. When we opened in Bengaluru, plenty of people told us to change the food for the city — less coconut, less coconut oil, milder curries.
We did not. The recipes came with us exactly as they were, along with the cooks who know them. What changed is the address.
The emblem on our sign says it plainly: flavours of Kerala, delicious and authentic. It is a promise about how the food is made, and it is the only claim we care to defend.
How we cook
Masalas are ground in our kitchen and coconut is grated fresh. It costs us time every morning and it is the difference you taste.
Curries are made in small batches through the day rather than one large pot in the morning. Dosa and appam go straight from the pan to your table.
Fish, meat and vegetables are picked up daily. If something is not good that morning, it is off the board that day — we would rather say no.
Who we are
Ruchiram - The restaurant is on Bagaluru Main Road at Dwarka Nagar, Kattigenahalli, a short drive from Yelahanka and the airport road.
We seat walk-in guests all day, pack parcels, and take bulk orders for functions with a few days' notice.
